  1. Howdy, I want to congratulate the creator team to this amazing piece of work, the original DMS campaign is beefed up to eleven, and this is far from a quick-n-sloppy slapdash job ful of typos and poor fanfic writing attempts. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who may want to play DMS once again, but greatly enhanced - part due to HK engine port, and equal part due to clever and tone-sensitive additions to the base campaign. Kudos, chums, and Vox populi indeed! Vox Dei, more like!
  2. When I go to confront Stevie J in the Quest: The Penthouse Suite. I have no options to interact with anything but the cage the hellhounds are in. If I open the door combat starts. But I get killed due to having to fight every enemy in the place at once and of course they go first. Since this is a required quest and the start of the campaign it makes this unplayable. Thanks for putting time into making this. Wish I could see more of it. Anyone else run into this issue?
  3. Hey, I greatly enjoyed these other 2 campaign mods I found for this game while back, but never got around to trying this one.
Quick question, 1 the things I personally find to make things better is relationships (romance included of course)
like the other 2 mod campaigns had, but since I see this is a just improved original original I assume this one does not have it and the crew is just to simplify and be a couple tiny add-on things? To each their own if it does not, just I got a ton of rpg games I am playing (quite a few similar to ShadowRun style even) and that is deciding factor if I want to give this a go or just stick to all the other rpgs I got.
Thanks for sharing the mod and doing your part in extending a game life and fun etc... even if it doesn't and therefore I don't play.
    1. THanks for quick reply. That is what I assume which is fine, and it not the sole requirement I just don't find it immersive or engaging enough if it doesn't have it while I have countless other games to play.
But ya the combat is rather meh in shadowrun after a while unlike DoS 2(which of course also has relationships) I think does a more enjoyable combat, and true action rpgs tend to have way more flashy looking combat. Then you got like Xcom 2 which has better squad sci-fi turn based action combat. (Both of which can be further enhanced with mods). Though I personaly barely care about combat any ways, but I mean it got to point for shadowrun that I actualy used the cheat to get passed a couple fights because they repeat and have no change. So if there is no relationships in the game and combat to me is boring (especially compared to other games) the only other thing that would make it worthwhile would be if the story was great with a ton of different outcomes and was short enough to expereince a few (but understandably this 1 is linear as it a recreation) or of course fleshed out characters /relationships (which I also do find to be the most important thing in a standard RPg).
      Thanks again for the reply.
    2. Alright, thanks again for both the reply and helping share something that brings more enjoyment to others (even if it doesn't do it for me).
  4. Hi there and congrats for your great mod.The game crashes for me during loading of coyotes crusade!Any ideas?
I got the extended version installed...
  5. just started playing this and i've encountered a bug, when on coyotes crusade after speaking to gino he attacks coyote and then nobody does anything, i can still open the menu but everybody is stuck in their idle animations just standing there, i'm about to try reloading the level to see if that fixes it.
Edit: after reloading it worked properly
    1. just ran into another problem, when breaking into the UB headquarters during the first fight against the immortal bugs after a few turns have passed it keeps freezing and not responding whenever it tries to go back to the matrix
edit: just reloaded from a point earlier in the level and got back to the point it froze, i'm fairly sure the problem happened when it was trying to spawn one of the bugs ghosts in
  6. I've played the original Dead Man's Switch and I'm getting ready to try out this mod. Are there any character classes that are made redundant by newly-added NPCs? I'm thinking about playing a mage, but if there's a really good NPC mage available to be recruited, I might want to pick something else. (Conversely, if there are any significant holes in the NPC roster, it would be good to know that so that I can make a PC that will fill them.)
  7. I downloaded this for a 3rd or maybe 4th replay today. However, for some reason, the UGC doesn't show up in the game? All the other UGC campaigns do, except this one. Any ideas?
  8. To all concerned.. A superb renovation of DMS which enhances and breathes a soul and spirit into the excellent but a little hollow original (The original is a great game for all the touchstones of Shadowrun lore and a forerunner/keystone on which to build though).
Fascinating insight with the Dev notes and gives a greater appreciation of all the hard work you all put into this.
Players only see the finished article and don't see the many explorations getting the end result. The trials and tribulations of even what never reaches stable builds that has to get cut.
Or is lost from the needed restraint to reign in and to keep it whole.
So thankyou for each and every effort made to bring this into being.
  9. Hello, first of all thanks a bunch for this hell of a mod. Loved every moment of it until it started crashing right after the loading screen of Coyotes Crusade. Has anyone faced it before? Thanks in advance.
    1. Okay, sorry for the late reply. Mine crushes right after the loading screen ends, the apartments doesnt even load, it goes to crush right after the loading bar reaches its end.
The debugger shows something like 'could not find sound Hongkong_props audio bundle' or something right before it crushes.
  10. heya, thanks for all the hard work so far, really enjoying the upgrades and enhancements. for some reason the Penthouse Suite scene gets stuck loading. I've got the content packs from DFDC and DMS copied over, as well as Hong Kong Nights/hk_coda installed, so mayeb one of those might be interfering. would like to play on, so I hope you've got time and energy to look into this soon!
    1. getting a NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
    2. It happens during the loading of the Penthouse Suite from the Royale Apartments
    3. I've had the same problem. No DMS in the game and still not loading.
    4. Alright. Thanks. It's quite frustrating. I love the new tweaks like the stuffer shack mini-chain. It just sucks to get road-blocked by a loading screen like that. I'm getting the 'null-whatever to object' error as well, so it definitely seems like something went wrong.
    5. I've tried redownloading and reinstalling, so not sure what's wrong, I've tried downloading the one from Steam using the Steam Downloader site and it still does it, so not sure if it's something on my and Deku's ends or what, but the fact it's sticking at the same place with the same error is odd.
    6. yeah. Let us know if you think you've fixed it so we can redownload and test it.
    7. I've tried saving the son, ignoring, talking to the old man for the shortcut, even made a save just before entering the apartments to test multiple options. It just stops halfway through the loading screen to the penthouse, just before it hits the L in the word Loading, and gives an error of 'NullReference object etc' just like Deku got.
I've also had the 'freezing during enemy rounds of combat' thing. Not a total freeze but the game seems to just get stuck on enemy rounds without doing anything sometimes, but I think that's a general Hong Kong problem than your mod because it does it on the other campaigns like the Dragonfall and HK too.
    8. I hope you find it, but let us know if there's any progress or if you need other info.
    9. https://i.imgur.com/yJevQJY.png is the error I get.
    10. Well, I had already closed out the game, tried to reload it now, but that error disappeared. That one with all the numbers is where it was screeching that it couldn't load my original DMS save file. When I put it back in that error disappeared. I'll let you know if it pops up again. But: https://i.imgur.com/iFBIH8O.png and https://i.imgur.com/uPfkqF9.png So it doesn't load even if the original DMS is removed. Do you think it might be from copying over the Dragonfall content like the 'standalone' stuff like Berlin or Seattle? Because the Dragonfall campaign works fine, but I have problems in both your DMS and the original. The original shows just a black screen when trying to recruit the runners after the penthouse successfully completes and I can move the character around by clicking because I can hear their footsteps.
    11. The 'Street Monk Outfit' but I'm also using the Acid Bolt spell that has been having problems. When I fire it at people it either misses or does no damage and freezes the game for a few seconds. Do you think that's what the Spirittoxicold error is?
    12. Well damn. That fixed it. Go figure. Apparently it *was* just some corrupt files. Wonder why the first reinstall didn't work? That might also be why the acid spell didn't work. I'll have to test it.
Yup. That fixed the acid spell too. I'll let you know if I run into a problem like Rqur did.

I've seen mod developers that dump the mod and call it good. Thanks for at least making the effort!
